Manage the immunoassay product lines including all associated instruments, small devices, and consumables. Drive new market initiatives and lead a team of product managers. Using marketing fundamentals drive product life cycle management, including product development, product management, and product marketing. Drive strategic planning activities for product line to develop revenue growth and profit by maximizing understanding of customer/application segmentation, product positioning, pricing, competition, and new product development. Work in a collaborative cross functional environment to successfully bring and sustain new products to market. This position requires the ability to travel (approximately 20%, including domestic and international travel).
Ability to clearly identify and communicate customer needs.
Ability to successfully develop and market products to customers in the academic, government, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Ability to communicate technical product information in a clear, concise and creative manner.
Strong organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
Technical understanding and experience in protein based research products.
Must be able to work effectively within a marketing team and with cross-functional (R&D, Manufacturing, Sales) teams.
Must thrive in an environment of strong collaboration and team mentorship.
Must be an energetic, motivated, and an ambitious individual with strong leadership capabilities.
BS/BA in Life Sciences, advanced degree preferred
5-7 years marketing and/or sales experience (preferably management experience) in the life sciences industry, with a strong background in reagent, instrument and device development, sales and support.
Experience delivering tangible results in a product development capacity by successfully launching and bringing new products to market.
